On Thursday, September 22, 2022, the Autumn graduation and degree conferral ceremony was held at the 140th Anniversary Auditorium on the Sugimoto campus and at the Conference Hall on the Nakamozu campus. Graduates received degrees from OCU, OPU, and OMU. With all of the OMU graduates—the first in the history of the university—receiving thesis-based doctoral degrees.

The ceremony was held with a minimal number of participants to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and was live-streamed online.
