CT Scans are Now Available for the Scyliorhinus Torazame
LastUpDate: March 31, 2022
A research group led by Associate Professor Masaru Furuya of the Department of Veterinary Science, Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences, Osaka Prefecture University, and Osaka Aquarium KAIYUKAN have succeeded in finding the optimal protocol for contrast-enhanced computed tomography for diagnostic imaging of the Cloudy Catshark Scyliorhinus torazame by micro-CT.
This achievement is expected to be useful for clinical practice and academic research on elasmobranchs such as the Cloudy Catshark.
The research results were published in the scientific journal “Journal of Aquatic Animal Health” in August 7, 2021.
