Student Team Wins RoboCup 2017 Championship

The RoboCup international conference was held this year in Nagoya, July 27-30, 2017.
Among the different competitions, the “Soccer Simulation 2D League” event was won by Helios2017, a joint team made up of students from Osaka Prefecture University and Fukuoka University.

RoboCup is a competition not of robots operated by remote control, but of fully autonomous robots. The “Soccer Simulation 2D League” event is one in which the robots play soccer on a flat surface.  Osaka Prefecture University has participated since 2002.
