5 Information for International Students Tutor Program A graduate/undergraduate student is assigned by the university as a tutor for international students. International House (I-wing Nakamozu) The International House "I-wing Nakamozu", opened in April 2015, is a facil-ity for international exchange, featuring three areas: the Dormitory (lodge area where international and Japanese students live together), the Global Commons (the exchange area for implementing various international pro-grams), and the International Office (the support area providing multifaceted assistance for international exchange). Financial Aid and Scholarships Information regarding scholarships for international students is available from the Student Affairs Division. There is also a system for the remission of tuition fees. In the 2018 academic year, more than 90% of inter-national doctoral students received scholarships from the Japanese government or from public and private organizations. Admission Both colleges and graduate schools make special provisions for international students in order to welcome students and scholars from all over the world. Information on admission is available from the following OPU websites. Health Services The University Clinic offers periodical health checks and consultations, as well as first-aid treatment. Enrollment fee and Tuition fee (as of 2019 Academic year) ■ Enrollment Fee (A)JPY282,000. (If either the enrollment student, his/her spouse or his/her immediate blood relative has been re- siding in Osaka Prefecture prior to April 1 of the previous year) (B)JPY382,000. (all other circumstances) ■ Annual Tuition Fee JPY535,800. ■ Additional fee is necessary for School of Veterinary Science at College of Life, Environment, and Advanced Sciences. ■ Miscellaneous Fees are necessary depending on college/ school.
