Tuition and Scholarships

Tuition

Tuition is charged to your bank account on May 30 for the first semester and October 28 for the second semester. Default in payment may result in being excluded from the university. If you are a Japanese Government Scholarship student or an exchange student accepted under an academic exchange agreement between OPU and your home university, you are exempt from the tuition.

Exemption Request

Students with financial difficulty of paying their tuition may request tuition exemption. The application procedure is posted on the international students’ bulletin board in April. Research students and students who have exceeded the number of years required for graduation cannot apply for the program.

Scholarships

b) Private and Public Scholarships

A variety of scholarship programs are offered by private scholarship organizations and public organizations. Requirements and the application time vary depending on the nature and purpose of each program. Announcements for those scholarships are posted online or on the international students’ bulletin board.
