Applied Biological Chemistry
The aim of the course is to develop an understanding of life, environment and health through a basic education and research in all areas from fundamental chemistry based life sciences to a wide range of practical applications of these disciplines, thus helping to improve our lifestyle.
→The human resources we wish to nurture:
People able to apply their knowledge of biosciences and biotechnology on the global stage.
Bioscience and Informatics
Students will carry out research on biological activity on the basis of genomic information analysis. We will use bioinformatics and molecular design to synthesize and use bioactive molecules, and develop new biosystems for crops that allow not only control over growing conditions but also over harvesting strategies.
→The human resources we wish to nurture:
With their extensive knowledge of bioscience, informatics, and basic engineering, our graduates will be able to contribute to a wide range of bioscience and other industries.
Plant Biosciences
The course covers the basic principles and technologies relating to the development, improvement and practical application of plant resources used in foodstuffs, medicines, industrial raw materials and environmental restoration.
→The human resources we wish to nurture:
People able to contribute to agribusiness and the plant industry.
Environmental Sciences and Technology
Environmental Science and Technology is a new discipline which is a fusion of ecology, environmentology and social sciences, which deals with assessing, evaluating, conserving, constructing and managing urban areas and green spaces, from both the theoretical and technological point of view.
→The human resources we wish to nurture:
People able to evaluate, conserve and construct green spaces and contribute to a rich and sustainable environmentally conscious society
Veterinary Sciences
In addition to veterinary studies and public health, attention is paid to various problems such as food safety, medicine production, animal related biotechnology and cross-infection between animals and humans.
→The human resources we wish to nurture:
Highly skilled veterinary doctors and researchers able to deal with problems in veterinary-science related areas.
