In December 2020, Osaka Prefecture University Professor Kayoko Ito’s research has been featured in the British Science journal “Impact”.

The featured research is “Building a foster parent-child support model to prevent the cancellation of entrustment due to foster parent failure”. This research is carried out by the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (Fundamental Research B) and is based on surveys and case analysis from child guidance centers, social workers who support foster parents, and foster parents. This study aims to verify the system of foster parent support in Japan.

It is considered to have been highly evaluated for presenting a valuable approach in the field of social welfare studies.
