LastUpDate: January 28, 2015

Osaka Prefecture University invites many leading researchers and educators as Guest Professors throughout the year. Each invited professor spends approximately one month at OPU to conduct special lectures, seminars, and individual discussions with faculty and students. The Guest Professor Program aims to stimulate students’ intellectual growth, to provide firsthand access to the finest world-class research, and to build tighter relations between OPU and leading universities around the world.

Our eleventh guest in 2014 is Prof. Ernst Peter Kundig from University of Geneva (Department of Organic Chemistry), Switzerland. Prof. Kundig is one of the world leading researchers in the field of Organic Chemistry. He received EuCheMS Award (European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences) in 2007 and he is known as the ex-president of the Swiss Chemistry Society.

During his stay from November 10 to November 29, he gave lectures and seminars for the students of the Graduate School of Science, as well as for the undergraduate students, together with many opportunities of discussion with them. They were so fruitful to motivate and stimulate our students and staffs.
