Special Guest Professor Program 2014:Dr. Jambulingam Segar (R.K.M. Vivekananda College)

Osaka Prefecture University invites many leading researchers and educators as Guest Professors throughout the year. Each invited professor spends approximately one month at OPU to conduct special lectures, seminars, and individual discussions with faculty and students. The Guest Professor Program aims to stimulate students’ intellectual growth, to provide firsthand access to the finest world-class research, and to build tighter relations between OPU and leading universities around the world.

Our second guest in 2014 is Dr. Jambulingam Segar from Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College, India. Dr. Segar is a renowned researcher in the wide range of fields such as mathematical physics, particle physics and statistical mechanics.

During his stay from May 7 to June 6, he gave lectures and seminars, together with many opportunities of discussion with graduate students, at the Graduate School of Science, and the School of Science.
