President Hiroshi TSUJI

Dr. TSUJI who was born in Hiroshima has been a professor of the graduate school of engineering since 2002 at Osaka Prefecture University, serving as the Director of Library and Information Center (2007-2011), the Dean of College of Sustainable System Sciences (2012-2013). He was a researcher and director at Hitachi, Co. Ltd. from 1978 to 2002. He was also a visiting researcher of Carnegie Mellon University and of the Japan Center of Stanford University, and as an adjunct of several leading universities in Japan. He received B.A. in Engineering from Kyoto University (1976), M.A. (1978) and Ph.D. (1993) from Graduate School of Kyoto University.
He has conducted numerous researches in the field of system science, particularly on information systems for management, decision support systems, and knowledge extraction from big data, with both domestic and foreign researchers and leading enterprises. He published seven books as co-author and co-editor, more than seventy journal papers, and numerous conference papers. He has also served for the academic community as a general chair of three international conferences held in China and Cambodia, and as a program committee member of numerous conferences. He has vigorously enhanced international collaboration and exchange of OPU with overseas universities in European countries including France and Germany, as well as Cambodia, China, Taiwan, USA, and Vietnam.
